Creative Writing

Creative writing workshops guide students through story creation from fun and crazy writing prompts to world setting, character creation and development, plot design and even cover artwork and even how to self-publish.

Combining literacy, drama, art and design and available in 3 preset themes:

  • Historical fiction
  • Fantasy
  • Contemporary tales

or freestyle, allowing students to pick their genre

Politics

Politics workshops are based on the British electoral and legislative system. Introducing themes in a contemporary, interactive way, they are an ideal introduction to the topic for younger pupils or an engaging exploration for older students.

  • Parliament

Students look at British parliament in 3 historical phases: Medieval, Tudor and Modern: comparing and contrasting, looking at its roles and powers and the evolution. Students will then form parties (created or researched) and head into the 'House' for debate and voting.

  • Elections

A unique opportunity to vote. Pupils will research, organise and enact their own school or year-group election. This is designed to be completely freeform- modern, historical or fictional parties, any type of electoral system, the students can be guided or allowed to choose. This can also be used as a school election: for example for school council members.
